Discover the past glories and newly resurgent communities of Jewish Spain, and the natural beauty of the region as we embark on an adventure on our privately chartered river cruise ship, the Belle de Cadix, on a tour that includes city stays in both Barcelona and Madrid. Explore the Guadalquivir and Guadiana Rivers as well as a short sailing on the Mediterranean. In addition to visiting Spain’s capital and geographical center in Madrid, we will experience the charm of Toledo today and the remembrance of Jewish life in the medieval era. As our ship winds down the rivers, the sites and sounds of Seville, Cadiz, Villa Real, Alcoutim, Jerez, Cordoba and Gibraltar come alive. Barcelona will cap off this historical adventure, plus a visit to Girona where footsteps of Jews still echo in the streets.

The cruise itinerary will include Seville, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Vila Real, Alcoutim, Sanlucar de Barrameda and Cordoba (locations not guaranteed). We will spend Shabbat in port with local walking tours.
