There is a well-known phrase: “the clothes make the man”. In this lecture, based on the commentary of the K’tav V’Kabbalah, Rabbi Wein discusses how the clothes worn by the High Priest (the Kohen Gadol) defined the spiritual and physical manner in which he needed to conduct himself. The vestments that the Kohen Gadol wore had particular names and the garments were designed in a specific manner. The lessons contained within were a guide post to the ways in which he should conduct himself during his priestly service and in life. These lessons are forever timely, for all Jews, at all times.
