The Jewish World today is in flux. The reasons for this are many, one of which is the confrontation with the advances in technology but is also due to changes on the world political stage. Wherever the Jews have made their home in the world they have always influenced the outside culture due to their noteworthy contributions to governments and prominent institutions on the international stage. By the same token, world politics, geo-political and social mores have infiltrated Jewish society in the various places that Jews have called home throughout the exile. In this lecture Rabbi Wein discusses the way the Jews have left their inimitable mark on society at large and how the general society has ultimately influenced the Jewish World.
